The old chicken house attached to the barn has two floors, I wanted to start cleaning and organizing the first floor, there were some things down there that belonged on the second floor.I took them up there, then realized I better orgsnize the top floor first.

now I Have to straighten out the first floor

I envy all the room you have to store valuables inside!!! It was bare ground here when we put the house up in 02, added a 50X80 arch building in 04 and a couple of grain bins after that. Wish I had a few small building for little stuff. Chris

Now, Where did I put that! I knowI have one somewhere, I just saw it the other day (two months ago). Don't have time to look right now, gotta get it fixed, guess I'll just have to go the the lumber yard. Seems as if these statements go thru my head after any reoganization/tidying up. Maybe its just me. gobble

I remember when we cleaned out my dad's garage after his passing. I kept only the good usable wood. I filled my PU and we filled a 15 yd dumpster with other stuff. I recently tackled my garage to make room for my tractor. I discovered I actually had a cement floor down there. I'm trying to organize too, but on a broader scale, just my tools. I recently bought two screws, because that's all I needed, and because I knew if I bought a package I wouldn't be able to find it if I needed them. Easier to let the hardware organize it all. Then I know where to look if I need something. Keep us posted, Larry.

The young folks in our neighborhood store $500 worth of junk in the garage and let $25,000 to $60,000 worth of vehicles sit outside in the weather.

They need a good swift kick in their learning center.

I have a piIe of stuff cIuttering a big chunk of my 5000 sq feet barn/sheIter as weII.

This faII i went trough haIf of it, next spring i'II do the other haIf.
I kinda figured if it had not been used for 15 years it was never gonna be used again and not worth keeping.
I onIy kept some things that had some vaIue and Iumber that may come in handy to fix a corraI or something.
The rest of the stuff that was burnebIe Iike oId doors and odd sized pieces of pIanks and pIywood and such i put in a piIe and burned.(was a big piIe,it burned for most of a day)
The metaIs went to the scrap yard.

Good riddance
