Larry iv been told you can't pump your own gas at the stations in New Jersey is there any truth to that??

About the same in AZ, looks to be the same in MN!
When We were in NJ last spring I pulled up to the pump and jumped out and started to self serve, attendant came out and said I will do that for you. He was polite about it.

Lol! No it dosent. What if you want gas cans filled, or lawn mowers on a trailer? Do they fill them too? Just wondering.

That's like going up to our farm, gas is usually a lot more up there, but there is a good place to buy off road diesel about half way. I usualy need a bathroom by then anyhow. I would imagine you haul your gas from NJ to PA, are the attendants fussy about filling cans? I think there are some laws about hauling more than a few gallons.

Valero just opened a new station/comvenience store across the street from Fry's (Kroger), so they started a price war. I filled up Sunday at $2.21; today both stations were at $2.16. Wonder if they will go lower?

(quoted from post at 18:50:45 12/16/14) Unless it changed you can not pump your own gas in Oregon also.

No you can't pump your own gas in OR...something to do with putting people to work. I have pumped my own diesel fuel tho...just need to ask if you can.

Well, I remember when you also couldn't pump your own gas in Illinois. EXCEPT for motorcycles, ha! Proper etiquette for motorcycles was - zero the pump and politely hand the nozzle to the rider. He'd hand it back when he was done. The good old days, with gas sometimes 19 cents per gallon if a price war was on.

Hi everybodys so exited about the gas prices, but I'am starting to get the feeling we are going to pay big time, for this when oil goes back up to it's previous point, or big time in tax increases before.

there are some guys out there like their tax $ paid ,and a few more share holders in oil companys, and guys on the stock exchange hurting to.
Gas might be $10.00+ a gallon when this blows through. To make up for the losses. We won't be able to control this when it happens. There will be a big train wreck then!.

A rumor was going round, last week on you tube this is being done to get rid of small guys in competition, to the bigger guys. Then they can fix prices due to no competition and high demand.
Regards Robert

Here in the tax state of NY it just dropped below $3.00. I see it $2.85 to $2.99. Diesel is $3.49 cheapest I've seen.

70 cents of every NY gal of gas is State and Fed tax, 75 cents on diesel. I doubt NY will see anything under $2.75 at best.

I can go to the Citgo station in Frenchtown and pump my own diesel, but the attendant must fill any gas container.

2.79 down here in NYC. Thought I was seeing things.
Market predicts another $.10 drop by next week and a good 50 to $.75 drop before next summer hits.
