Hi,
Just got one of them 'free channels' on tv,
tryin to egg ya on to pay for a larger bill...
Anyways, anybody remember 'Hee-Haw'?
I just caught an episode, good music and too many
jokes to remember, I was glad to catch it.
However, I remember one skit,
Grandpa Jones doing the '200 years ago today'
More or less, he reported:
Patrick Henry is known for his famous words;
'Give me Liberty or give me Death'.
Grandpa Jones went on to continue,
Patrick Henry had been miss-quoted,
He actually said, 'Give me Livvy or give me Beth'
Two sisters that lived about a block away.
He was known as a 'ladies man'.
Grandpa Jones,'and that's the way it was,
200 years ago'.
Not verbatim, but close, all rights given to them.
I just laughed thru the whole show, other than when
they were playin music.
That show was great, reminded me of my younger years,
and jokes like that just got to make ya giggle.
Wish 'Hee-Haw' was still on.
Anyone else remember 'Hee-Haw'?
Thanks, Danny
