3 point draw bar

My 1976 ford 2000 has an under tractor draw bar assembly and pin but did not come with the bar. I have one of these...
Has anyone used one of these as the under tractor draw bar?

check your local farm supply store, even Tractor
Supply, which these days has almost nothing has a
couple different drawbar's available. They should
have something that will work for you. With all
the holes, that bar would likely break fairly
easy.

I can't imagine that it would be long enough. If the under-tractor drawbar pins up under the center of the tractor (like it should), it needs to be about 4 feet long.

I would find someone with a good one and take a lot of pictures and measurements. Then find the closest thing to it that exists and take it to a machine shop and have it modified. I have done this often with parts large to very small. There are some great guys out there in shops who will happily take your part in the back door and rework them for you. Once I even walked in the front door of a large industrial building with a part that needed machining. Caused a lot of fuss because they only did "large" orders. Finally I was sent around to the back, past the dumpsters, to a roll up door. Inside was a shop with some very old machines and a fella with a lot of gray hair. He was their "go to" guy when the fancy new stuff didn't work. An hour later I had what I needed. No work order, no invoice...cash. Have to love it.

Personally, I would either buy a new or used one that was made for
that tractor. Things can go real sour on you fast should you ever
break a drawbar especially should you be doing PTO work or going
down a road. Also I would not hook very much to the type of a
drawbar you are showing as your clevis is apt to bind in a short turn
or the front end can come up on you if you are pulling hard with the
3pt hitch raised.

I use one like that in my Kubota B2150, I cut the pins off with the chop saw, and it fit perfect, Front pin and ledger had holes that lined up, but I know enough to not hitch something with a lot of tongue weight.

TSC and other fleet and farm stores have a proper drawbar,
easier than getting that bar to fit.

i have that for a drawbar under my ford jubilee and its worked fine for about 5 years, the heaviest trailer ive pulled with it was about 3 tons, the tractor had all the under tractor stuff except the actual drawbar and i found it was easier if i cut off the pins that would normally to thru the lift arms, as they bind on some trailers and impliments i used a pin which fit the hole in the under tractor plate and a bolt where it went thru the sliding drawbar piece on the back of the rear end, i dont have a pic but i can take one if needed

I had a Case 22-40. Sold it to a friend that had done a great restoraytion on a CaseL. He said he would restore it, but he sold it for parts. That wasn't our deal!! but that is what happened to it.
