JD 1508 Shredder

JD 1508 batwing shredder, the PTO to the gear box turns at full speed but the output PTO's barly run. Clutch or gear box issue? If clutch, how do I adjust it?

I'd say clutch issue . Really need a book to set
the tension on the springs right . I normally run
a slip clutch so its just warm to the touch after
running for a couple hours if its a slip clutch
with friction disks

Wrench(parts key 1) that should have been furnished with new cutter would be used to tighten nut(parts key 2)

Agree with the others. Clutch. If it is turning as slow as you say, Im betting you are going to be buying most of the parts in Tx Jims picture.

Hopefully your luck is a little better than mine.
