Figure someone will comment sooner or latter so here goes, This months PROGESSIVE FARMER mag, special farmstead edition mid December. Fifty page magazine is out, 18 pages of KUBOTA adds so if you want to see what the new big Kubota is going to look like take a look. Lot of European look, don,t think we will get the front 3 point here.

Rick Thanks for the link.. The hitch I don,t know US has been slow to adopt European ways. The disk mower is classic example , they were in use over there way before the us accepted them. They run three cutters on their tractors one on front and one on both sides. Pretty much the norm over there for a tractor to have front three point and PTO.

With a front 3 point I could mount my tree spade on it and not have a kinked neck having to run it off the rear three point like I do now.

Plus I could run a few tools up front.

I have seen a few videos of the Europeans running three mowers like that. You can cut a lot of land real quick.

how many guys with a snow blower would love a front 3 pt hook up
I for one would as my snow blower is hooked up 5 months of the yr and after last winter I'm still not sure my back has recovered

Including the back page, there are 23 pages of Kubota ads.

Kubota seems to be throwing a lot of weight around, lately. It seems lots of guys buy them around here.

I don't care for them. I don't think they are bad, or evil, but it gets under my skin when you see West Allis and all the abandoned factories, or how red and blue tractors are made in the same factories because about 9 different companies are now merged into 1. All these brands get merged for one reason or another, and all were good companies with decent market share, and good machinery. Despite that, lots are gone now, and somehow a newer brand like Kubota comes out and starts getting more and more market share. I'm not against a company doing good, or making money. I'm just not happy to see all that has happened in the ag industry in the past 40 years. I guess I don't like change.

I have often thought, that a bush hog on the front, would be a nice thing! Worst trouble, is trying to dodge, all the debris coming at you, and I guess you would need a front PTO.

If you can find one of the old Central Tractor 3pt hitches designed for the Oliver 77/88 they're pretty easy to mount on the front of some tractors.Pretty hard on the front end of 2WD drive tractors though.

John at 70 years I certainly have seen change. I was with the company when I saw the first KUBOTA in Progessive Farmer years ago thought I would never see that now look what we see tonight. KUBOTA now has around 4400 folks working in the us in 8 different locations. Like you say they have done something right somewhere. One never knows where we will be 100 years from now. I was raised in an IH family and married into a AC family so have seen it all.

I bought an Italian made finish mower and noticed it could be converted to front 3pt. use. Would just have to move the hitch to the other end and flip the center drive mechanism around to point the PTO the other way and it's done. Would be nice to have it up front.

I spent years looking over new small loader tractors. I found that everything under about 100hp is made somewhere else. I looked at all them, and the only one "selling their own paint", was Kubota. Kubota makes it's own engines, transmissions, and assembles them in their own factories. Other companies buy engines from here or there, and pay somebody to assemble them. That is "Brand management", but I don't think it is sustainable. One other thing, my dealer has told me that he can get any part for any Kubota made, no matter how old. You may not like the price, but they do support their products.

You're giving me ideas for another winter project. Problem being that will be around #30 on the list.
