My Daddy bought a John Deere

My Dad really surprise me this week when he bought a JOhn Deere tractor. The John Deere tractor is a model G wide front has a Three point on the back, and sound really good.Brand new rear tires and has a nice clean adjustable wide front. He had found it right here on yesterday tractors. I still think it is a little bit pricey but on the other hand it is really a nice tractor. I know my dad is a farmall man and that is why i am shocked that he had bought it.I am pround of my dad for doing such a bold move on a buy. Brent
 
That,s ok. Even 'diehards' will sometimes buy a tractor of a different color. It comes along,we like it,priced right....It comes home with us.I too bought a 'two banger'.JD 'A' with a (Farmall) wide front.I just liked it.......
 
Here ars some pictures of the tractor. All I have to do is pick it up and bring it to him. (I think he is a lucky person boy I wish my looked as good as his).Brent

That isnt the correct wide front for a G. It is a factory John Deere wide front, but that is the later square one that would have been found on a 720 or 730. Not a bad deal thought!! The correct round cast wide front actually sells for less than that square one right now!!! Nice find and a nice tractor...

This summer I found myself in a similar situation, I have a number of John Deere two cylinders in my collection, but was given the opportunity to purchase my grandfathers 1952 Farmall 'M', I spent hours on that tractor growing up so it was pretty much a no brainer to buy it. Its parked in the shed next to my '52 A, I love driving the 'A' but when I get on that 'M' something hits me in the chest, it's kind of like that feeling you get after being away from home.
