1949 Super A Headlight

If I can get the photo uploaded, would like to know if the headlight is a "standard" headlight for the 49 SA. It's longer than 51 and 52.

That is not an International Harvester headlight. At least in USA, also it is not in the usual place.

I think you have a car/truck headlight on your tractor. The factory ones are not that large and they are on a bracket lower on the tractor.

Mine were normal size but up high.

No, it looks like it came off a vehicle.
there was the tear drop style with the bulb and towards end of standard production when supers were comming out they went to the sealed beam.

First clue is its mounted in the wrong place second is the chrome rim quite appearent not original.

Was this tractor on Craig's List? I saw a Super A for sale on there with lights like these. It looks like an old automobile headlight.

Yes, it was on Craigslist. It has since been purchased.
