Hello All! I am looking a Jayhawk stacker which is in need of some repairs. Does anyone have one or know where there might be one that I could get some photos of? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here is one when my Dad was young! They found it fine for stacking, but not so much for collecting, so used a dump rake to bring it to the stacker!

What would you like to know? My Dad had one that he used on the front of his M Farmall and I was lucky enough to spend many hours driving it. When he moved to town, he took it apart for the angle iron which was still at my Mom's place in 2006 when I sold the place in town. However I do have the hydraulic ram and carrier angles with it. Is the one you are looking at hydraulic or ground drive lift? His started out life as a ground drive, shoot just thought, I have some oak teeth for it also. Oh back to the drive, The ground drive took some planning to reach the stack at the right height without having to back up.

There is some limited information on the net and may be some book reprints for it. I may have his book someplace too.

After he got a baler we then used it to pick them up by pulling it behind the tractor between the rows of bales. A couple of husky teenagers on each side throwing the bales (one was ME)on the sweep head and then riding up to the top of the stack.

He had a nice 5 gallon add on tank that screwed into the pump reservoir on his M so there was enough oil to raise it to the top. Used it to re-roof the farm building as it would go way up there! Also hung beef and pigs on it to butcher. Was a pretty handy piece of equipment.

Thanks for the memory jolt!
