Wow. That is neat. Never seen a mounted Ford picker. Must be a 5000 or 7000 model tractor? Thanks for posting.

I am not really much of a Ford man but I sure would not mind collecting an outfit such as that. My goal would be to have an outfit from each manufacturer that would have been produced during the 1960's. JD 2520 w/ 237 picker, IH 656 w/ 234 picker, Oliver 1650 w/ 84H picker, and so on. Maybe by the time I am 70 years old so I have some time to try to accomplish it.

I'll sell you my 2520 when I retire. But I just recently got rid of the roll-o-matic off Dad's 2510!
Several years ago a neighbor had a little used Oliver two row picker. It had been dragged outside and banged up, but appeared complete enough to be worth saving. I twice connected with someone who expressed an interest, but nothing ever came of it. I don't know why that happens. Same deal on another neighbors complete two row cultivator off a JD B. Finally went for scrap.

Good pic's again Larry. Even like the house in the background. Do those wagons dump or do they shovel it all?

I know you have an extensive background in Oliver but I thought they changed the mounted pickers when they went to the 83H from the 73 pull behind. Kind of related to Bob Bancroft I wanted to say that around 10 years ago Empire Tractor over in Cortland had the nicest 83H picker I think that could be found. It looked like it got parked in the barn right after it was bought new. It was sold at their inventory reduction auction then for I believe 600 hundred dollars and though I was not picker obsessed like I am today I sure had my tongue hanging out.

I may very well take you up on that but hopefully you have many years yet to come to enjoy it on your farm.

I'm amazed at the amount of nice clean Fords and all makes and models that you have on your end of PA.

That 5000 looks all original, as well as the picker! On this end of the state, you won't see anything like that. My first trip to Messick's and after one look at the quality of the old used stuff, I reset my default CL to Lancaster!

I know of one 602 picker for sale around here. It is the older model, was mounted to a ford 960, and has been off and sitting in the weeds for 25 years...

Only the 5000 and 7000 row crop had that style dash. 4000 row crop had the all purpose style dash.
