It looks like a home made tractor, made from car/truck parts. Commonly called a "doodlebug" around here. Not saying someone could have made multiple ones as in a small business.

Looks very much like the early Worthington "G"
tractors used on golf courses to pull gang mowers.
From Stroudsburg, PA.

It sure looks home built. Many were put together
during the depression years.
We had one with a Dodge engine and two
transmissions to give it a slower working speed
and more pulling
power.http://photos.yesterdaystractors.com/gallery

I agree with Mike it is a doodle bug. made from an old Dodge car have seen one built from a Duesenberg and it didn't even have the hood any more.

Check this out. Sears/ Roebuck and Wards and many others made "kits" to make your car into a tractor.
Would love to have one. joe
Doodlebugs

Dodge Bros used 12 volt Positive Ground into 1926 with the generator starter being one and mounted on the left side towards front of engine. During 26 they switched to 6 volt Positive
Ground with both being on left side of engine.
Starter towards the flywheel and generator towards timing cover.
Really nice machine IMO.

That is what is known as a 'doodle bug'.They were
homemade during the 30s and 40s from all kinds of
scavenged/salvaged parts.When people had no
money, and during the war when tractors were hard to
get or unavailable, people made their own. That looks
like one of the better ones.Antique Power Magazine
has been running a series of articles on doodlebugs.

The Model A "doodlebug" was built by my wife's uncle
back in the 50s.
The Chevy "doodlebug" was built by another local
farmer and a friend of mine bought it from him.
Not yet old enuf to get a license, we used it mostly
for general transportation.
