Ferguson Baler Value

I have come across a Ferguson baler, it is just the plain, Ferguson, not a MF.

It is all grey, and still has the big blue FERGUSON decals on it. Appears to be in VERY nice shape

Twine box has 4 "ferguson approved" rolls of Sesial twine in it... Think I can get it cheap, maybe free, are they valuable? What if it was restored and behind my TO-30. Would my TO-30 run it?

Right on, that is what I wanted to hear...

After looking around, it is a PTO Drive, Ferguson F-12 baler, in darn near flawless condition. I saw a picture of a completely restored one, and what I thought was missing, is actually not supposed to be there... Going to try to get it... Bryce

Darn good baler according to my dad. They had one while milking cows and baled 1,000 s of bales each year with one. Finally went for scrap in the mid eighties when no parts could be found and it was about wore out.

Had one. parts are still available from M/F. The knotters are a bit hard to adjust and there are few who know how to work on them. You may become an expert on those and be able to sell your services to other Massey baler owners.

We had one back in the day, late 50s early 60s. Seems like we fought with it the whole time we had it. I don't think we could ever get through a 100 bale load without a sheared pin, missed bale, and worst case a broken needle. In all fairness though, my Dad wasn't the greatest on knowing how to fix things properly. He traded it in on a 520 Oliver which worked great and caused very few problems. I was glad when they hauled the Ferguson away.
Sounds like you've made up your mind. I wish you luck.
