A real nice barn find tractor

Went to get a tractor that had been donated to the SC State Ag Museum yesterday. We pumped up the tires and pulled it out with a pickup. Then winched it on my trailer. It came off a farm that had been in the family for well over 150 years.
It is a 1940 Farmall H. Got quite a bit of other old stuff donated also including a sorghum syrup pan and an old large cabinet style radio.
The family wanted the things saved so they would not go to scrap.

That is nice find, will it be restored or left original?

All I can see in the pic is the grill, but for original that grill is perfect. BW

Probably left original. Might put new tubes in the rear tires and get it running. Lots of good tread on rears.

We had an old H when I grew up on dairy farm. It had a loader and armstrong steering.

Yes sir, It was a tight fit. I don't think that tractor has ever spent a night out side.
