Some of you may remember I posted about my wife inheriting this Case 1690 tractor about a month ago. I have a diesel truck but this is the first diesel tractor I have owned. I don’t farm so this tractor is being used maintain our half mile gravel road and light chores of moving stuff around with the loader. I know it’s a over kill for the jobs that I have for it. Now to my question. I do not trust the fuel gauge. It has a 38 gal. fuel tank. I use it about 2 to 3 hours a month with just light work. Should I fill it up and keep it topped off with some anti gel stuff in it? Or would I be better off to just keep the fuel level low and pour 5 gal in of red fuel when I need to use it. Didn’t know if the fuel might get old with a full tank putting so few hours on it. Sorry this is not an ethanol question but it’s the only fuel question I could come up with.
