can anyone tell me if the transmission on a 175 would be the same as the 180 or if it would work on the 180

Have owned them both and my first thoughts are no. I know the torque tube is different , the piece right off the back of the motor but thinking about it the transmission MIGHT be the same but I am thinking not. I think the 180 shared the 190 transmission while the 170 was the old d17 transmission. What ever they all jumped out of one gear, think it was road gear or 4th, been a long time.

I am by no means a expert, but I think they are basically the same. Maybe little differences. Should be able to mix and match parts and make it work.
