17 degrees this AM in W SC, down from 25 the
previous night. Supposed to warm up to the 40s.
At least we don't have snow, it's clear and
sunny.

Local farmer has been harvesting beans. This is
the second year of notill for the fields. I
don't know what the yields are. Except for an
inch of rain Monday, we have been dry.

Got you beat Keith.

It is 23 here this morning.

We have been below 32 for about 6 days now.

May get up to 40 on Saturday is what the weathermen are saying.

I still have 45 acres of corn to harvest for another guy. Between the weather and lack of places to get rid of the corn it has been a long harvest this year.

We may run this afternoon if he got a bin emptied.

Dang that's cold for your area. It was 14 here. Winds yesterday with wind chills in the teens. I don't go out when it's like that till I have to. Fill wood boiler at 5 pm. Then put a few sticks in around 8 am to make it to 5 pm again. With weather like this it keeps the creosote down. LOL

Here in Vermont we were 19' this morning. Most of the corn in done but some have some Beans to do.

This is the first week of Deer season so most are taking a little time off. The snow is now gone again.

12 degrees here this morning feels like summer after the last ten days here, we had five nights of -21 below and then never got out of single digits during the day, and we have 8"-10" of snow as well, hope everyone gets done with harvest soon
cnt

I'm still wearing a jacket, but not because I enjoy it or am tough, but rather to climatize myself for when the cold really gets here. Its not here yet, but its coming. I fear that if I start wearing a coat now and get used to the coat, what am I going to do when it really does get cold? Yesterday in northern Indiana we got up to 19 degrees. A month ago I was still wearing shorts some days. Now? Christmas commercials. Shorts...Christmas, they don't go together in my mind.

We warmed up to a very cold windy 27 in W Central In. this morning. Yesterday morning it was 10, hi 22. Set record low the day before. Looking for 50's this weekend. The weird thing is my pole barn has a light blue/gray metal siding, same color shingles. Yesterday, it was a little sunny and temps in barn were 10-14 warmer than outside. I have no insulation. The siding acted like a solar collector. I was able to work inside all day, felt good considering no heat.

I'm not tough, just layers, artic insulated boots and gloves I could work in.

Just checked our weather report online, it says:

Wednesdays High, 22

Precipitation, 65% chance

Type, Rain

How is it going to rain when it is only 22 outside???????

22 here with a 18mph breeze heading for a forecast high of 20, its sad when the high temp for the day is set early in the morning, doesn't leave much to look forward to for the rest of the day now does it!?!

I am in Toronto, going home today. I lucked out, they got 6' of snow a couple hours south of me, now back to Iowa cold.

Can't read the thermometer and it is too friggin cold to walk out and see. I only went outside once yesterday and that was to get the mail. Won't be so lucky today.

I guess I'm so sick of it and accepting of my fate with it,that complaining about it anymore is as pointless as walking out at midnight and complaining that it's dark.

I always hate it when the high occurs at midnight or 1:00 am. It has to happen when I can enjoy it doesn't it?

Can't catch a break here south of Grand Rapids. We are right in the path of the good old "Lake Effect" snow bands. 12 + inches and still coming down.

Here in ND in the heart of the Bakken Oilfield, when it is in the single digits above zero, like the last week or so, I enjoy driving down the highway with the window open and my arm on the window sill. I get a lot of really strange looks from all the out of state oilfield workers passing me. They are all wearing carharts and under armor. Just showing them that North Dakotans are tough. haha
