A few month ago I had to replace an O-ring in Farmall C lift box. Only oil I had was Extreme hyd-tranny oil. It said good for case-IH. Good until the temps dropped. Then pump started talking very loud. Today, I picked up 2 gallons of Rural King's Harvest oil. It said for case-IH and low temps. Well pump stopped talking.
So lesson I learned, if you are going to use the cheap stuff, make sure it says for low temps.
No problem if you live where temps don't get as cold as central Indiana, about -20 coldest last winter. So far, we've been in the 20's. That was cold enough for the extreme to get too thick.
