Engine heater on 9500

When plugging in heater cord on JD 9500 the breaker on the electrical box trips. It is only a 10 amp breaker. The question is "is there something wrong with heater element or is a 10 amp breaker not adequate?" I would think 10 amp though low should be ok. Why would the heater element be tripping the breaker?

A JD 9500 could easily have a 1500 watt block heater in it. So 1500 divided by 115 volts equals 13 amps.

Even a 1000 watt heater is right at 8.6 AMPs. many 10 amp breakers will trip when cold with that load.

I have all of my block heaters on a 20 amp breakers. 10 amps is just not enough for many block heaters.

10amp!? The smallest breaker I've seen used here is 15 amp. And that's with 14 gauge wire and a lighting only circuit. All others are minimum 12 gauge wire and 20 amp breaker.
