Rear rims and 11.2 38 tires

I have a Super H Farmall tractor it has 13.6 38 tires and I have been told it has the wider rim. Can I mount 11.2 38 tires on my rims? This is just a older loader tractor and somebody put new tires on it and I have two 11.2 38 tires. I can use the 13.6 38 on another tractor. Thanks

You can put the 11.2" rubber but they will look pretty Scrawny, compared to the 13.6"
Your "H" most likely came with something equal to 12.4x38", possibly 10x38" in the older size system, but everyone opted for at least 12.4x38 when replacing the old tires..

Personally, I LIKE larger rubber on my older tractors..(I USE them)...

Remember, 11.2" is one full size Smaller than 12.4x38" and "will work", if that is ok with your uses..

I would agree with Papa, you are going down 2 sizes, will look pretty puny. The 13.6 on the supers look pretty good.

I am just going to use this tractor around the yard loading and unloading equipment so they should be fine.

I think it will work fine and the wider rims will make the narrow tires appear wider than they would on narrow rims. High as tires have gotten it wouldn't be practical not to use them if you have them. gm

Simple math problem. How wide is the rim? You"re talking new size numbers on the tires. 13.6 tire is 12 inches at the rim. 11.2 is 10 inches at the rim. If your rim is 11 inches...both tires fit ok. You can safely/looks wise go an inch wider or narrower than the rim width....using old size numbers...ie tire width at the rim.

Yoy will be loosing weight lifting capacity with a front loader because of them weing less and also loosing traction due to smaller footprint. Best sell them to someone that needs that size and get the proper size for your tractor and if you would need to ever sell it they could loose you a sale the same as over size could.

Measure the rims and see if you actually have the wider rims.

I bet you have stock 11" rims for 12.4x38 tires, or even 10" rims for the 11.2's.

If the rims are 10" or 11", the 11.2's will fit just fine. You might have a problem stretching them to seat the beads on a 12" rim.

I would not worry about looks, or resale value. Tires are a precious commodity these days, and if you can save yourself a bunch of money by shuffling tires around, DO IT.

Leave the 13.6x38 tires on the Super H. Sell the 11.2x38s, and get some 13.6s for the tractor that needs them.

An 11.2 is too small for an H or Super H. 11.2 would be the correct size for a Farmall C.
