Not a bad chunk of change

I loaded up that old rusted steel that I took off the old barn and hauled it to the crusher today.
Came home with $300.80. A whole bunch more than I expected. I don't know what Dad paid for it in 1968 if he paid for it at all,but I'll bet it wasn't that much. It was used steel when he got it. It came off the old pickle plant in town. I just remember that he and Uncle Earl each got some of it.

A buddy of mine replaced a few roof top AC units on a building a year ago and he got $3000 for all the scrap metal. Yes, he asked first before he took it to the scrap yard. What was it per pound that they paid out to you if you do not mind me asking.

I'm saying $160 a ton. Is that what the math comes out to? I'm not that quick tonight.
