Back in the early 90s just out of the blue one day my father in law told me he wanted me to have his tractor. We never spoke of it again for many years. He is up in his 80s now and in the last year he has had a few small miss haps with his tractor. Run it under a tree and bent up the exhuast and made a sharp turn and run the bush hog over his water tank. Lol. I think he decided it was time for him to quit useing it. His son farms with him now and out of the blue he showed up with this at the house yesterday. You could have knocked me over. My big tractor is a farmall H and I was on my cub when he pulled in so you can guess how big this looked to me. He is the most unselfish man I have ever known. We spent a little time talking about the tractor but spent an hour showing me all the tools in the tool box and giving me the history on them. His 1st screw driver he ever bought was in there. I think in his eyes the tools where the more important gift. I told him it would not be my tractor but should be my wifes " his daughter" that tickeled him. I am sure I will have lots of questions for the guys on the Case board cause this is a little more complex than my H. He did all the service on it and put on a new rear tire befor he brought it to us. They dont make many like him any more. life is good.
