Experiencing shift problems with my 8100. Nothing wrong with the trans itself. It downshifts fine but I have to slap the shifter hard to upshift, although sometimes it shifts normal. Anyone have experience with this, thanks.

Back when I was at the dealership, we replaced alot of the shift mechanisms that you are slapping around. There are magnets in the part that you are slapping and they get weak. If you can shift slowly and see if it shifts better. Hopefully somebody else chimes in since its been 15 years since I've worked on any 8000 series. goodluck chris
