4 row international cultivator

Question, will my farmall 300 handle a 4 row cultivator with rolling shields? How do you generally determine what size tractor is needed for any size cultivator? Thank you in advance.

Ryan

A four row will make the front light so plan on weights(four row front mount was a factory piece)

A front mount 4 row would be a piece of cake for it. If you could steer it a 6 or 8 row would work on a 300. We used to use a 4 row front mount on an H pushed it just fine in 4th.

Yes it will either a rear mount or front mount will work. In the 60's I ran a 300 with a 4 row rear mount Go Devil.

We ran a 4 row front mount for decades on it. Piece of cake. What it was designed for.

Many years ago someone on this site bought the cultivator from me, lived just north east of the 'Cities. Can't remember his handle.

i guess it depends on what you are cultivating, and how. if you are talking about corn for example, you are probably going to be using small shovels or sweeps, not too deep. potatoes would be a whole other thing, for that you throw a lot of dirt, big shovels and deep- 2 rows would be about all that could handle. speed also matters.

as for the second question, how to tell... experience.
