A little set back on combining.

The corn is finally drying to under 20% moisture and some as low as 18%. I had a good day on Monday and good yesterday till around 2 or so.

Then it hit me. Another darn Kidney Stone.

Went to the ER about 5:00 yesterday and they confirmed my thoughts. I had a stone back in 99 that had to be blasted to pass.

They got me on Hydromorphone for the pain. But naturally no equipment operation.

Can't see a Doc till tomorrow and it may be a few days till they can get me in to blast it.

Lots of corn to run yet and here I set with the sun shining.

GRRRR

My brother gets those because he doesn't drink enough water. I drink a lot of water and I've never had a kidney stone. Tech who did an ultra sound on my body said that I have the kidneys of a teenager.

I drink 3 to 4 quarts of water a day and have since 95 when I quit soda. I was drinking 6 or 8 12 ounce cans a day. Felt bad all the time, went to water and decaf coffee and have been feeling much better in that regard.

Doc told me pretty much everyone has Kidney stones attached to the inside of their Kidney.

They just don't dislodge from the Kidney wall on some people like they do others.

Doc told me there would be other stones dislodge some day. They did.

I've had 'em for years. It's a genetic thing in our family (grandfather, me, my youngest son and daughter). No one knows the pain they can bring unless they have experienced it. I've had them "blasted" on two occasions. I asked the doctor, "What would have happened to me if this happened 100 years ago and I was unable to pass the stone?" He says,"Oh, you would have lain around in agony. Became infected. And in about 30 days, died a very painful death."
Whew! Hate the stones but glad it's now and not then.

How much brown bread and bran do you eat? I quit these foods and quit getting stones. Was getting them every 6 months.

I've had multiple kidney stones over the years. Only two that I didn't pass naturally and had to be blasted.

The pain is when the stone is going down the tube from your kidney to your bladder. Takes about 20 minutes. When the stone hits your bladder, it's out in the open spaces and the pain goes away. The stone bloops out next time you pee.

I'm taking calcium citrate, it's supposed to keep my old frame from making the stones, but I still passed one about a month ago.

Highly allergic to anything that has been fermented; a beer would put me in a box to be placed in a hole in the ground. Of course, sauer kraut will do the same thing.

I don't know where he is, but I am about 30 miles east of Keokuk.
It would probably still work for me if he is in SE Iowa.
Otherwise, all he has to do is ask.

Thats just not good!!! I had one stuck in the tube going to the bladder. They operated and extracted it . 12 hours of pain [thought i was dieing} went up up Mr Winke with a laser, all done and a 10m bill . Walked out of hospital like nothing happened.

Sorry to hear that, Gary. I haven't had stones(yet), wife has, no fun. Hope someone around there can help you get some work done.
