This was a Ford dealership years ago, many of my neighbors in pa bought cars and trucks there, the Ford tractor that belongs to my neighbords 92 year old aunt was bought at this dealerhip by her father. In the past ten years or so,someone bought the place, fixed it up as somewhat original, and buys and sells old cars there.I just drove by it last weekend.I stopped and took a few pictures.

I remember years ago the building was auctioned off,It sure is nice to see someone bought it and put it to an intreesting use,I thought some of you here on yt would like to see it too.

Way cool! I like to see old buildings live-on...
yet maintain the old look.

Some pretty nice rides in there too.

In the next to last picture, looks like a ghost looking at us.
Nice pitchers, wish I would have bought Hudsons and Nashs back in the day when they were cheep.

Nice to see the building used again for cars. we have a old ford dealership in my town. Very few who passes it, know, at one time was a ford dealership. Now it's a used car lot. Stan

Thanks for the photos, Larry. There is a building in our town that a man with money purchased that was once a parts dealer similar to NAPA. He also purchased the old service station next door. He ran a used car business across the street for years and used the service station to clean and repair used vehicles. In the old parts store he keeps his personal collection of antique and custom cars and trucks.

Not just any old cars, Hudsons! '34 and '54 convertibles in the front of the showroom, and a '48 or '49 in the background. What town in Pa? I'll try to get some more info from the Hudson board.

New Smithville ,exit 45 on 78 highway,it aits on old 22 there was a sign in the window, but I didnt want it to look like I was pasting an ad

There is something similar in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Near Ann Arbor. Oddly enough, I think they also have Hudsons!

The one in Ypsilanti is about to become a Hudson museum. It was an old Hudson dealership years ago, and was continued as a Hudson sales, service and parts business until recently by Jack Miller, a famous Hudson guy.

Hadn't heard of the one in Pa. Will try to look into it, but I've had trouble making the Hudson board work lately, so may be stymied.

Here's a pic of the old Ford garage in Storm Lake Iowa. It's reported model T's were assembled upstairs in this building. The county historical society is housed in this building now. I took the close pic to try to show the lettering on the sign: FORD THE UNIVERSAL CAR.
