Unbelievable clutch rebuild

I recently replaced the engine in my Oliver 1600 loader tractor. The clutch on both engines were well worn. On a Friday I called KY Clutch in Louisville and asked about an exchange clutch. They told me to bring mine in and they would rebuild it Saturday. I got to their shop at 09:15 and a young man rolled a cart out to my pickup and loaded the clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and throwout bearing. I followed him in the shop, sat on a stool and finished my coffee. In a short time the young man came to the counter and laid the bill down. I started writing my check and looked at my watch to check the date. The time was 09:48. I wrote a check for $250.00 and left with a completely rebuilt clutch, flywheel surfaced, new throwout bearing and pilot bearing installed. The clutch worked perfect when installed. I will definitely use these people again.

i would say it took him that long to go to the shelves and get the ready rebuilt's put back in cart.
not likely you got the same items back. unless you had your secret marks on them to know the difference. and how do you install a pilot brg. when the engine was not there/ it mounts into end of crankshaft.
or else they had 1 person for each item being rebuilt then said ready set go. 38 min. hard to believe as just to set the milling machine up for flywheel takes time also. plus to do the cuts takes time . do believe a clutch can be relined in that time though.

I sat at the counter and watched them do the rebuild. On an Oliver the pilot bearing goes in the hub for the pto splines not directly in the crankshaft. They took the pressure plate apart, replaced the fingers and springs. The center for the clutch disc was taken out and riveted in the new disc. There were two guys working back there they never stopped until the job was done. If I hadn't watched them i would not have believed it could be done that quick.

ok, there is still good help out there. most times they him and haa and make excuses and then its come back tomorrow to pick it up. i guess its like assembly line work, they can do it with eyes closed. great!

I've used Kentucky Clutch for years, and they've never let me down...quality product, best price, and quick service.

I've had the same kind of thing with Clutch Dynamics in Lansing Michigan, when I've asked for it anyway. On the flip side, when the boy dropped mine off last month for my 1550 and they said they'd get right on it,he said "No hurry",and they didn't. It was a week and a half getting the clutch redone. They're quick when you want them to be.

I too have used KY clutch with good results and will use them again. Had to send them odd ball clutches to be rebuilt. No way to look them up and nobody had them!!!!
