Radish cover crops

I planted radishes last fall on my small bean field. It froze and killed them when they were less than an inch in diameter. I was pleased at how the soil looked and produced this year.

I have heard that some are having problems with planter skipping when the radishes get to maturity and leave holes.

My corn is way too late this year to try anything, but any experiences?

I am trying about six acres this year. It is only part of a field I am going to plant corn into next year. I will have a true side by side comparison. I hope they do as well as they are trying to sell.

i usually plant at least a 12 way mix with radishes included. never have any problems. you might check your planter if you have trouble. always takes my yields up considerably and does away with any ditches. we had an 8in rain event in 24hrs and no ditches appeared!
