Brake Mastercylinder Source

Might be of use to others.

I was doing on internet search for information on the master cylinder on our Allis 45 grader, made by Minn. Auto Inc. and found

http://www.mico.com/sites/default/files/document-pdfs/84001001.pdf

Which looks to be making the same or very similar cylinders.

There are "generic" MC's available. Might take some Google work, but you might find something that will work for you. HTH

Ian, would it surprise you to learn "Minnesota Auto" amd "MICO" are one and the same?

In other words, you simply found direct link to the company that actually made your stuff for Allis in the first place!

Bob,

Thanks. Sometimes us folk in Oz have to dig to find these things.

Even more amazing to see that they seem to be still making the brake master cylinder our grader got in 1959 - or looks like one that would replace it!

The internet has enabled many manufacturers to present their product direct to the consumer where before it was not possible. This is good for the equipment manufacturers who would rather not be involved in parts for old machines and it helps us consumers to save considerable money. I find ebay to be a big help at locating these parts manufacturers.
