hello i dont have a series parallel in my 1977 belarus 800 2wd with metal cab in it as of now.i am wondering if anyone could tell me were the 50 and 50a wires go from the series box to and where exactly.thanks

Hi
Unless you are fitting a 24 volt starter or somebody has fitted one You shouldn't have that series parallel switch. all those older tractors from what I know had 12v starters and just 2 batteries in originally they were 6v in series, and then somehow they went 12v in parallel to get greater amps. I think that 12/24 system might have come in,during the early to mid mid 80's we started selling new tractors in about 94. The split system was in them, but sold a few used late 80's years with them fitted.
The 50 wire runs up to the engage terminal on the starter solenoid.
The 50a runs up to the RS 534 starter relay to the terminal marked C. according to my factory wire diagram.
the early tractors Have way different wireing and dash boards to the new ones, so that RS 534 might be a RS 502 under the hood by the hydraulic oil tank. on newer tractors it's under the dash board from about 89 on i think
I have never converted a 12v system to the 24V so don't know how well this will work, or if at all
I just told you the locations of what the wires go to as you asked. So you got to figure it out sadly and hope it's right without a huge pile of problems.

going to the starter terminal marked c for the 50a wire what else is connected to that terminal and were does it go??also the 50 wire to the engauge terminal on the starter solenoid is that the small nut or the bigger one?

Hi
50 runs straight from that terminal to the
small terminal on the starter solenoid.
The 50 A Runs straight to the terminal marked
C on the relay marked RS 534 in my diagram But
guessing it's the same on your RS 502 relay.

When your dealing with Belarus electrics they
are a pain in the butt from new when they don't
work. I think you may be getting in deeper than
an internet fix if your going from 12v system
to a 24 conversion adding that series parallel
system.
What exactly are you trying to do here and why.
It may help if I know that!
If I need to I can go check wires and stuff on
my 96 tractor instead of looking at my factory
wire diagrams, trying to help you out here.
Regards Robert

there was no series parallel originally in the tractor.it is still a 12v starter with the 2 batteries.im in the country with the strong wind constantly blowing.i am hoping to hook up a series parallel to help out with the quicker start of the tractor without changing the starter or batteries

Hi Thanks for the reply I get what you want to
do now. Be careful with putting 24 on a 12
starter.
If you crank to long there is a fair chance of
a melt down someplace.
I wonder if your starter is getting tired or
needs replacing or the cables are bad as well.
I had a guy with a 500 that sat out all winter,
it had 1 12v battery and a 120 v block heater.
if the battery was good it would start. with
say 2 good 1000cca batteries in parallel i
would expect it to start pretty good if every
things ok, does the heat/glow plug work to
thats a great help also.
Regards Robert

have a 78 beIarus 800 with the oId styIe steeI cab
Mine aIso has the series paraIeII switch, i instaIIed it in 86,i use it with the orig 12v starter. Starter burn out is not an issue if your engine is a fast starter... mine fires up in a spit sec when i hit the key
I never used the coId gIow feature as it never did work worth a fart...your better off to instaII a circuIation heater and pIug it in for an hour.
I aso got rid of the rad curtain cause aII it does is trap dirt and it near impossibIe to cIean that dirt outa there.

Is that second knob to the right and in the front of the gearstick?
If it is than it has to do with adjusting hydr speed or draft controII, on mine i has never worked worth a fart either.
