I have a farmall C with oil leaking from both brake drums.Do I have to remove the top trans cover and remove the bull gears to get to them? Also, the front of the trans leaks, does this have a bearing retainer and gasket or just an oil seal in the front?Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know, but do you have too much gear lube in the transmission causing your leaks. Maybe overful with water.

Brake seal 70201C1 is removed from outside after brake drum & outer parts are removed.
Transmission input seal is in a retainer plate; use gasket 46503D and seal 381907R91. Easy to do when you split the housing from the rear end.

Never had one leak at the brake drums. I just had to replace the seals on the shaft that runs through the transmission where the brake pedals attach, though. Sure it's no coming from there?

Both of mine leaked. All the work can be done by
removing the side covers on drums. If I recall I
got the new seals in town at a bearing shop.
