Our Dachshound used to like going places with me in the truck. He was very friendly and good looking. If I went somewhere without him, I would get asked where my dog was.

We had him for 17 years; he's been gone 18 years and we still miss him.

A while back a friend e-mailed me "10 reason why dogs are better than wives". One of them was, "Lock your wife and your dog in a trunk for two hours and see which one is happier to see you".
