Anyone have an indoor wood-fired boiler that they like?

I've been looking at indoor boilers on the Internet. Some of the ones I have been looking at like Greenwood and Woodgun are the gasification type. Every time I think I have decided on one, I change my mind. I would like one that is insulated because I want to put it in my unfinshed-uninsulated basement.

I installed my Tarm indoor boiler in Oct 1977. It has never leaked. Tarm is made in Denmark, but sold by a US company in New England. It is a pressure boiler with pressure limits of about 20 psi. This means it can supply normal hydronic heat water to a second floor or maybe higher if needed. It also makes my domestic hot water. I prefeed the elect hot water tank with the potable boiler hot water. So if I am burning, my hot water comes from the wood fire, and if I go without fire, then the elect hot water tank supplies in its normal way.

The current models are much more fuel efficient and produce much less smoke. All of them like really dry firewood, and so does your chimney.

Google up "Tarm".

I'm in the same boat - can't decide which is best. I'd like to find an indoor one that will hold a fire for 8-10 hours. It seems most of them are designed to burn wide open to heat stored water, the go out and be re-started.
The wood gun seems to have the longest burn time, but it's still only 6 hours.

I think I have ruled out the Greenwood. No one will call me back and read some bad things on the nnalert.

Have a Kerr TW2000, hot water baseboard heat. Holds lots of wood and heats my large house fine.
