Another movie with a John Deere in it.

Just noticed a JD 2955 in the movie " Metal Tornado".
The movie Killer Bees (2002) has a 2355 with a 2 post rops.
The front emblem has been taped over and the JD script covered with black paint on both tractors.

I wonder why the emblem was covered? Didn't want to pay a royalty after the fact to Mother Deere's lawyers?

Must be. The JD name was always covered on Magnum PI when ever the LD garden tractor was on the grounds. The IH name was covered on the tractor in "days of Thunder". Doesn't seem to bother the auto manufactures?

You'd think they'd welcome the advertising. I hear some companies pay good money for what they call "product placement" to get their product in movies and on TV.
