Hi lift/jacked up trucks are useless for hauling. The long travel suspension is for looks and was not designed for carrying a load. I saw an accident local a few years back when a young goofball put a heavy load on a trailer hooked to a jacked trunk. Back end was so far down and the front so far up he couldn't see over the hood and went right over a little car.

She looks just fine to me. The truck, pretty, but a stupid waste of money. Another example of boys toys and more money to spend than brains. Could send a contribution to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH. 03086.

My 2c,
Mark

Who ever owns/drives it must have a special set of keys... There must be a button that deflates the suspension, so that they can get in!! Looks like a MAJOR waste of money to me, mainly cause it is a Ford... :p

Looks like some trailer modification might be in order..:) It would not be legal here in Missouri. I believe maximum bumper height is 22 inches. This one seems to exceed that somewhat..:) Mike

There is a company in Elkhart Indiana that used to custom Scouts for Ih now doing Fords for Ford. Google Ford Tonka. Same set up but painted yellow. Ford dealer in Mt Vernon Indiana has two setting there , around 65 thousand and said they sell a few each year. Big toys for big boys.

Guy up the road has a Freightliner that has a pickemup body on the rear, and it's the dumbest waste of money I know of. I followed him down to the shore a couple of weeks ago in the rain, and he had to keep his speed down to 40 or so. I asked him down at the sale why he was just creeping along and he said that the back end really gets light in the rain. And folks I talked to at the sale all agreed that it was some guy with more money than brains. I guess he wants to be a farmer if he ever grows up....

I'm surprised at those of you who say it is a waste of money. I personally like going out to eat at restaurants. Some might view that as a waste of money. You might go golfing or attend pro sports games and I view that as a waste of money. We all spend money on things we don't need. As long as you don't owe me any money, it's none of my business what you spend your money on. P.S. I actually think it looks pretty sharp.

One of those by me,off the Res.,but not jacked up so high.As for the Freightshaker, actually made by them for towing your travel trailer around the country.

Every Summer there is a week in Boyne City, Michigan they call "Roaring Thunder." It is a congregation of the large go fast boats. You will see many trucks such as you have pictured outfitted with the most modern trailers to haul these boats on. Many multi million dollar boats with even hydraulic trailers that haul the boat on it's edge. Really spectacular to see the rigs even if you don't like go fast boats. You must remember that their is a segment of society where money is not an object.

Some of us have more money than smarts.. Ohio has a bumper law and a headlight law.. I've seen less being pulled over here..

Hey, Bryce, Let's not start that Ford vs. Chevy thing here. I have driven Fords most of my adult life, and have found them to be very reliable, good performers, and competitively fuel efficient. Your comment was uncalled for.

For the ford haters, at least its a 650 and not the little trucks like most people are familiar with, which this means its a Medium duty truck so it wouldn't get a powerstroke diesel, instead it would have the Cummins ISB 6.7, the same one you can get in a Ram truck (incidentally ford considers their own diesel engine "light duty". Also for the diesels you would get an Allison 3000 auto, Eaton/Fuller or Dana manual trans.

The truck does look good but as far as a truck goes it would have no use for me.
