I'm the first in the community to receive my "FREE" Springer Mountain yard sign.
They are giving them away on Larry's Country Dinner Show.
The pictures are in my front yard, located 453.8 miles north of Mt.Airy, Georgia and 352.3 miles south of Duck Lake, Michigan.

I wonder how many have caught the catch phrase,Cage Free?
Most people don't know that broiler chickens aren't raised in cages anyhow, such as laying hens are.
Any who it makes a catchy song aboot the virtues of a dull ocupation

I dunno where Larry's is, or Springer Mountain. And I'll be dammed if I'm gonna eat that's a week or two old....

Never heard tell of none of it. All I know is my chickens live danged near better than I do. They have an insulated, electrified, inside painted baby blue, chicken palace I built for the misses. Most spoiled, money loosing chickens in the United States. If we sold eggs for $50 each I wont break even in 10 years.

yep so is Banty roosters. We have a local place called the Chicken Connection where you can buy take home broasted chicken. Trouble was they started getting small sized and prices went up. So a couple fun loving gents dumped 25 Bantys in back of the place as escapees. I considered it just good redneck humor but I guess the cops in town didn't agree nor did the owners of this establishment.

Gene I chuckled at your post. I'm in the same boat. Put a little over a grand in remodeling and insulating an old building so the 'girls' can stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They've been rewarding us by putting out darned near 100 percent production for the past year and the death loss has been zero. Want some northern eggs?
