Hey Guys I am back. I have been recently working on my 53 Case DC, and I am having some problems with the engine clutch. When I purchased the tractor the hand clutch would not move no matter how hard I tried. After doing some further looking I decided that the clutch was froze up on the tractor due to not being used for several years. I was working on the tractor today and got it freed up. I freed the clutch up by loosening the very outside blots (what I believe Case Calls the adjusting screws) and jerking the tractor with another tractor. This did break it free, but when tightening the bolts back up, the clutch started to freeze back up again. I now believe that someone had over tightened the bolts and that is what is causing my problem. I own an I&T shop manual for the tractor but it does not tell the specs for the clutch assembly at all. I was wondering if anyone out there knows what the torque specs are on the clutch assembly. I was also wondering if there is anything else i can do to fix this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks guys!
