Rainy day so the combine is in the shed. So I have posted a recent video of driving my 39 Ford. It is getting better starting and running now. Most of the time running on all 8.

Interesting.I have heard of but never seen the little 60 hp Ford flathead. It was tiny at 136 cubic inches compared to the big 221 , 24 stud flathead v8 . I grew up around Ford flathead V8s, this one in particular.

I grew up around flatheads too. Dad had a 51 F6 and a 51 F1. Dad decided the engine in the F6 was worn out and bought a rebuilt engine and in the end we put 6 more engines before we got a good one that wasn't cracked. Most of them we put them in and cranked them up and they would bubble out the radiator and we would take them out and get another.

The only 60 I ever saw was under the hood of a Simca, seems Ford sold it to them when they were done with it and they used it for a while in their cars.

I have heard that it is hard to find a used flathead V8 that does not have a cracked block. This one is an original Ford "rebuilt" from 1952. It still has the Ford of Canada tag on the block. I've got a spare couple of engines, one from a 38 car and one from a 46 truck.

Loved it! The old girl sounds good. I also enjoy seeing your Sask farm country. I've gotta get back up in your neck of the woods sometime just to see it again. We harvested in the Kamsack and Humboldt areas but the last time I was there was five or six years ago. Jim

Had a 1/4 share in one like that in 1960.Was really fun when we put the dual-quad Oldsmobile engine in.Lil buddy smoked some Chicago rich kid 'vettes whn he took it to school (NIU)He's still still doing BIG Mopars at age 71
