Remove the clamp nut. The clamp nut is the conical shaped piece on the bottom of the carb. It has what appears to be a screwdriver slot in it. The clamp nut is NOT threaded or screwed into the carb. It DOES have internal threads, which the metering nozzle screws into. If the metering nozzle is broken off. simply insert a small punch, or nail, down into the hole and tap gently with a hammer. It will come out easily.
