If they didnt have steel toes,I would have a wet foot!

Are they comfortable. If so, they will last another year or so. New shoes always are not comfy for a while

Urethane Door and Window sealer. Clean with laquer thinner, dry, fill cracs and overlay the steel. Wait 4 days wear till completely urethane. Jim

Do they have a tread wear warranty? Looks like the sidewalls are scuffed. Been running too close to the curb? LOL. If you could guesstimate, how many miles do they have on them?

If you want to make the toe of your shoos or boots last longer there is a product called "Tough Toe", it was advertised in the Farm Show paper a few months ago.
I put it on the toe of my boots and it makes one tough cover. It comes in different colors.

Nothing that a little duct tape and some silicone can't fix. LOL You should be able to get another 5-10 years out of them.

According to me: nope. According to my wife: yup, you're past due. My "backup" pair is fine except the sole front was flapping in the wind like you saw on old time comedies. I used some duct tape and then covered with electrical tape so it wasn't noticeable from a distance. Those are my "grass cutting shoes".

I'd think so, you're feet, legs should appreciate that, given what you do for a living and beyond. I have been guilty of procrastinating on shoe replacement given the cost, but it seems with age, ones feet need to be on good shoes all the time. I just made the transition from a completely worn out pair, sole flapping on the front, which will trip you while walking up stairs, to a back up but in better condition pair, saved for wearing while using the string trimmer. Support gone, and as much as you clean the insole pads, replace with Scholls, darned things begin to reek, maybe odor eaters work, I don't know, but both are in the trash, been way long overdue. Feels so much better in new shoes, even with break in, I won't hesitate in the future anymore, given the mileage on ones feet, add some extra weight, they do a lot, the walk I take daily is 4+ miles according to the pedometer, so much better on new shoes now.

Yours look like our sons! LOL

I'm surprised his company has not told him he has
to replace them.

James had a couple of pair that the soles came loose on. I glued them back together with contact cement. Boots lasted many more months.

I had a pair of Ariats that the sole came loose on and glued it back together. That was at least 4 months ago.

With the cost of everything, if it can be fixed and worn some more, it gets fixed and worn!
