picked up a C today that came with two plows- a single bottom which seems to be the most common for these, and two- a chisel plow that I cannot seem to find any info on whatsoever. If anybody could direct me to some info it would be greatly appreciated for restoration purposes. thanks- Jacob

I can"t picture any chisel plow that a Model C is capable of pulling. But, AC made a subsoiler attachment with Snap-Coupler mounting for a WD45 tractor....single tooth machine. Could it be that? Can you post a pic?

Are you sure it's a chisel plow,or is it the rear gang of the row crop cultivator? I had one of those many, many years ago. The rear gang just had two straight rigid legs that were quite long, that erased the tracks of the rear tires.

not 100 percent sure but it sure looks like one. Had ten teeth/chisels on it. Mind directly to the attachment bar. It won't let me post the picture because i just created my account yesterday

It wouldn't be a chisel plow then, not with ten shovels on a C. I only pull a 9 shank chisel with 135 horses. Probably a rear mounted row crop cultivator that has been modified to fit it.

predhunter. I would bet that you have a rear mounted row crop cultivator. They did make some of them that had a snap coupler hitch. I used to find them and swipe the snap coupler hitch for other things.

Here is a picture of one with gauge wheels.

predhunter: You have a spring shank row crop cultivator. Some one spaced the shanks to use it as a field cultivator. IF you where using it as a row crop cultivator you would space the standards so there would be a space for the crop row to pass through. You would set the shanks with one close to the row and then they would taper back. This way if you where cultivating and rolled out a sod chunk or a root ball the cultivator shanks work it away from the row not towards it.

Here is a picture of a different brand setup to cultivate one row.

I know what you're talking about I have one for a CA thats snap coupler and a pull type. Not a true chisel plow but heavy shanks with a 360 degree curl in them to give them some spring.More of a ripper I guess but they will tear up the ground.
