OT 1960's Toy Question

When I was just 3-5 years old back in the early to mid 1960's my parents gave me a small toy truck that was actually about 24" long so it really wasn't small. I believe it was made by tupperware but I'm not really sure, it was all plastic and could be taken all apart. The black wheels were held on with one nut, it had side boards too, if I remember right it was a yellow truck, black wheels and blue side boards. I could take it apart and would need dad to put it back together. Does any one here ever have one or remember seeing one of these trucks?

Nope, can't say that I have. Back in the 1960's as I recall, toy trucks of that size were mostly made by Buddy-L or Tonka, and were rugged steel. My brother, cousins, friends and myself got more stitches sewn into us over them, crashing bicycles, falling out of trees, and BB-gun wars. It was great to be a kid when I was a kid.

Gosh, I had forgotten all about that. The only thing I remember clearly is that some parts were held on with square headed bolts about an inch across. You know, the ones still functioning on half my machinery! There were also large flat head screwdriver bolts. It must have had tools with it.

There was some orange on there somewhere, too. I quickly graduated to the big red cardboard barn and metal tractors. The hours I wasted disking the rug in the front room. Now I do the same thing - just the room is bigger. I still remember I had an IH combine and binder truck. I would get so mad because my school friend would come over and push the combine backwards. I could not convince him that they operated "big" end first. Seems to me he is a college basketball coach and I am still pushing the combine around. Good thing I learned early.

Didn't have that one.
I remember dad having a radio in the early 50's that needed a battery about the size of a four package cracker box.
The battery came in a box that had punch out wheels and fold down and formed up cab.
I got a truck to play with.

I remember them. Think mine may have been a fire truck. The cab was red, the body was white, and the wheels black. The nuts, bolts, and wrenches were yellow.

Not the one you are looking for, but there was a wrecker truck(that used 4-D batteries, or manual) called Big Bruiser that came with a pick up that had a removable flat tire and dented fender that you could change with the tools provided. 1963 give or take.
