Well, I'm done cutting my own wood for the winter to come. I didn't need one of my big loads to finish up. Now in to cutting wood for two of the uncles and the sugarbush. Hopeing for some help on these projects.
My attached woodshed holds 17.5 full cord of wood, and it is full to the rafters. It's a good feeling to complete this summers firewood project.
The uncles and cousins will rally together to cut the rest of the wood, for their houses and the maple syrup operation. roughly about 35 full cord, more to go.
I hit my mark when I cut the last of my wood. Had just a few peices to stack on the boiler tender wagon. It holds a 4X4' square of wood. Lasts about 2-3 days during the winter, when the boiler is running 24-7.
As in one pic., you can see that there seams to be a constant source of dieing and dead trees to keep me going.
The late afternoon sun shined in on the corner of the shop and woodshed and it spiked the thermometer to 110F and 30min, later it dropped to 50F. I will leave the center door open for a couple of weeks to allow air to circulate through the wood, and it also makes a handy tractor port for my Kubota tractor, HeHe.

Thats a pile of wood! How many acres are you cutting out of to support all those peoples needs? I assume the wood is still a little on the green side when burnt?

And you plan to destroy that artwork by using it this winter? LOL You have a better body than I do to be able to cut, split and stack all that wood. Wish I had that kind of stamina. jim

I'm curious as to what the shakes on your house are made of. Also, are your wood shed doors just custom "panels" made of pole barn metal? They look nice. I drool at that many trees to cut! I scrounge for whatever I can get...Popple, ash, soft maple.

I'm in the Catskills and our leaves are really turning and dropping here a picture wouldn't be that green. But it has been dry here this summer. As always nice pictures of a nice place.

The shakes are just white ceder shakes with the wifey's custom paint job on them. Base coat of beige. with forest green, and dark brown colors sponged on.
The doors are as you thought. The framework of the operating center door was made from light weight steel from Kubota crates.I plan to eventually convert to an operating door at the far end of the shed. Just need to fab up another frame to screw the steel and J to.
