(quoted from post at 21:48:59 09/17/14) It appears they do not have online parts.

Is this the same engine used in something else?

No online parts, but a dealer locator?

The engine appears to be a Mitsubishi 2.5L 4-cyl diesel.

I have worked on a few of the larger McCormick. They can be a bear to get parts for. The dealership support really seems to vary dealer to dealer.

"McCormick CT47HST tractor is built in South Korea by LS for McCormick Tractors. It features a 47 HP (35 kW) Mitsubishi engine."

It looks like the LS Tractor Model R4047H is about the same.

Good luck!!! LOL I know of a LS tractor that the guy has been looking for a hydraulic pump for two years. Back ordered by LS.

It is the neighbors, he bought it last fall. He is a younger fellow and I am teaching him how to diagnose and work on his equipment.

I used it today because it is to soft around the house for my 6610. I noticed that it cranked slow and did not warm up.

It has original battery, so I am going to teach him voltage drop before we blindly change it.

I was greasing tractors, so I greased it. I could not get tie rods to take grease, we will try it with electric gun tomorrow.

All the paint is gone on the middle top of the radiator and the cap was oily, that has me stumped. I think that it is appropriate to flush system, install new thermostat and put in new antifreeze.

It is a nice little tractor with 600 hours.

I wonder if it has been overheated??? The paint on the radiator being gone and the oily cap sure sound like compression in the cooling system to me.

I would flush it and then test run it with just water. Check for bubbles in the radiator. He may have a head gasket leaking compression. That will make them act strange.

Isn't it amazing how we all complain about the demise of mom & pop shops, yet when there is a prime chance to frequent one of said shops, we are totally stymied when we can't find parts online?

put in a 195 thermosat I think the stant part # is
Stant 13869
the cooling system is overbuilt and or the mitsubishi doesn't burn enough fuel to get the gauge to register much heat. put it to work and the temp will come up. puttin around the yard at low revs you can run it all day and never see the gauge come up. I run a cardboard in mine starting this time of year dont need air conditioning now and with the heater on you need it to make heat.
