I thought I would shafe some photos of my new tractor shed . It has been a work in progress . The outside is pretty much done other than the drive ways into the doors. The inside is not done yet but I am working on it . It is a 50 x 88 x 14 Vap building. I hope the pictures came through.
thanks all.
Jeff.

Very nice! I'd have put in a much much much bigger sliding door to get stuff inside, but that would be for my needs, you built it for your needs.

Is it insulated heated or just storage type shed?

Nice any which way!

Paul

There are a few changes I'd make if I did it again. The first is the east door would be a double slider instead of a single. As far as windows, I would add a few more. Its amazing how much light is let in by the clear strip on the side of the building . The building is designed so you can drive all the way through it. The front half ( the end with the roll up door) is concreted and insulated for a 50 x 44 shop area. The back half is storage with a dirt floor for now. There is a wood dividing wall with another roll up door between the two halves. I kinda think the reason I went with the narrow door on the one end was to limit the size of the toys I buy to put in it. The inside is a big mess right now . I will have to say going from a 32 x 36 , I can't believe how much stuff I had crammed in such a space. When I get done I will share some more. thanks everyone.

Looks real nice. I have been telling my wife we need to put up a 40x100 , one end apartment for us next section shop , and last section equipment storage. I will sure show her how nice a building like yours can look. Bruce

I really like your porch. My new shed will deffinately have one of those. Going to do mine a little different. Plan on building a seperate room perpendicular to the main building. That will be for an office complete with bathroom, refrigerator, sink, and a computer for YT. The porch will be off of that. I believe I better put a BBQ grill there too. I like your partition in the middle idea with a door. Mine will have that too. In case I want to insulate/heat the shop portion.

I too put light panels in the top of my pole barn, on both sides. It's better than having a dark cave.

If you do not mind us curious guys asking......What did it cost to build? (minus the concrete) Did you build it yourself or hire a crew?

wile E the building as it sets without the concrete, electrical , and the nice mound of dirt it is setting on (that's another story in itself) cost right @ 55k , that includes insulation of the front half , windows , doors , the porch, dividing wall and the roll up door between the halves. Roll up doors are expensive. thanks.

I forgot , that figure was with the Vap building people putting it up. They have crews that specialize in each aspect from beginning to end . All I had to have was a nice level place to put it and they ran with it from there. JJ.

The boss got insulated tarps and hung at the edge of the concrete in his building. Actually works quite well, and once it warms up, you just envelcro them in the middle, and pull them back.
