Got the manure spreader finished today. First cut the inner spindle plate to fit, the fit the spindle to the axle. Cut an access hole in the beam for welding the inner plate. Then welded it all. Took a good bit of filler to weld it to the spreader since there was a lot of rust. Forgot to get pics with the wheels on, but it all fit up good.

As we used to say when we repaired something on the farm rebuilt like it should have been the 1st time "that will still be there when the rest of 'er is all used up". Great work! We had a couple NH grinder mixers they seemed to be built a bit better then the competitors as well. Didn't seem to apply to that" $h1t slinger"

Great work Jon. Your friend Jeff is lucky to have a friend like you that does so many great things on the farm.

Well Jon,
You got the wheels so they didn't bow in and rub on the sides of the spreader. NOW all you have to do is fix the sides of it, so they don't bow out and rub on the tires. HeHe
Loren.

I've seen projects over the years that would be nice except for some really crappy welds. In your case it's nice to see good welds on such a crappy project....LOL Seriously, it looks like what you've done will probably outlast the rest of the machine.

Was going to say the same basic thing. The side bowing out is what I'm working on now.
