What year and what model is my tractor

First time here. I just inherited an old tractor and no nothing
about it. I have determined that it is an Oliver and I think it's a
550 but when I look up the serial number it says that its a 440.
From all the pics I have seen the tractor looks just like the 550.
Can anyone help me determine what model I have and the
year. I want to sell this tractor and don't want to give any
incorrect info.
Serial number 121 839-519

Here's two ideas, first, on the left hand column of this page, scroll down to where it says, "Research & Info", then click on serial numbers. Second, ask your question on the Oliver Forum for best results.

Is the tractor centered between the right and left wheels or do the right wheels set out farther from the tractor than the left wheels?

Having a gas bubble in my brain right now. There weren't any set of numbers assigned to a particular model. You could have a 550 with whatever serial number and the next consecutive number could be on an 1850. They were just numbered the way they came down the line.
That said,I think that only applied to the Charles City builts didn't it? The Super 99 and Super 44 were built in South Bend. Big but here, the 440 production was moved to Charles City wasn't it? I know the Super 44's only had a 4 digit serial and the 440's started with a high 5 digit and went to a 6. So the serial won't tell the model of that one, only the year if he's sure of the model. He'd have to post the specification number to come up with the model.

Jim, I did look up the serial numbers on multiple sites and determined the same thing as you as far as the year and model goes. It just looks nothing like that particular model I have. So I am more inclined to go with your second post about the random numbers. I was just wondering if there were some inside things I was missing.

A 550 with good tin running well, with tires that are usable or better might bring 3500 in some places. They are nice comfortable tractors with high utility value. My favorite smaller tractor that is not IH. Jim
