Unstyled John Deere G

My friend has two John Deere "G" tractors, both unstyled--one is a low radiator G, was running a few years back, [His dad got in bad health] and need to know where to start on pricing them? Thanks

In 1980 I bought an unstyled G, I gave $25.00 for it and had aboot $400.00 in it when it was in running shape. 10 years later I sold it fur $2,800.00.
So it depends on a lot of factors.

The low radiator is getting to be about as scarce as hens teeth and price is way up there. Most have been converted to the high radiator when only a few years old due to overheating problems so if the low radiator that greatly increases the collector value. Also if ob steel, cutoff rubber, cast rubber or factory spoke rubber and condition and size of tires. Then year can be a big thing on pricing. Not sure if they ever made a electric start unstyled G or not or if it would have a 6 speed transmission but if either option that would change pricing a lot. Post serial numbers and options then you possibly will get a fairly decent pricing figure. Depending on everything pricing could be a thousand to ten thousand.

At the Polks auction last week two junk unstyled G "parts tractors" sold, one for $3900 & the other for $4100 ! I'd check the photo adds section on this site. Dont give them away, G's bring good money in any conditon.
