Have the Nigerian scammers moved to north America?. I have some things for sale on Craigslist. I have received two text messages for items. At first they seemed normal enough, asking about condition and if I had bought it new. Then the one said she was a deaf person buying this item (international 781 chopper) as a gift for her mother. All I needed to do was to set up a PayPal account and they would send the funds plus money for the shipper. When I checked the number, the text came from northeast Canada (I'm in central wisconsin). Now I am getting another text scamer from Kentucky. Are the Nigerian scamers moving in, or are local people trying their hand at scamming long distance?. After all of the warning, I can't imagine this being a profitable business.

LOL....my mom has several choppers sitting around the yard that were given as gifts, boy was she surprised. You really wonder sometimes don't you? I guess scamming is a job in its self.

I just found out. That I own a company that makes breaking pads. At least that is what the Chinese guy tells me.

Well if you get one from mid Michigan, just do as I,oops,I mean they, say. Send the money and don't ask too many questions. lol

This summer a disgruntled recipient of a scammer call, called my wife to chew her out. The scammer had hijacked my wife's cell number and was making scam calls with it. She called her carrier and they said about the only thing they could do was disable her old number and give her a new one. Jim

One of my cousins likes scammers, he gets bored and they are a cheap source of entertainment as he tries to scam them back. His wife is Hispanic and they had a Craigslist add for Spanish language tutoring. Some one hit him up with a Nigerian scam, he replied back to them telling them he was an auditor for and insurance company and they had some funds they weren't supposed to have and he could clear it off the books with a check for $112,393.12, he'd split it with them 50/50 "and you know I'm not scamming you....because it's such an odd amount" Another time he got them to send the check by FedEx next day air, cost the guy like $15, boy the guy really got mad when he wouldn't cash the check and send him the money back.
