Hi, will the mower that is made for a cub tractor fit on a Super A . I don't care about mowing grass/hay, would mostly have in place as a piece of equipment on the Super A for showing. Thanks, Murray

if you are talking about a woods 59, the mounting brackets are different, also, the blade rotation on the cub is opposite, so the blades will turn backwards. it may be possible to thread the deck belt so it spins the other direction. not sure on that, i have woods mowers on my cub and farmall b, it doesnt quite look like it will work that way.

Hi, In response to my previous question. The mower is a 5' cutter bar mower. I just recently had the mower laying on the ground under the tractor and everything appears to line up. Might have to make a 1/2" steel plate for each side to bolt up under the tube on the super A. The mower is made by Int. There are thoseplugs on side of tractor filled with cork. Are these holes previously threaded? Thanks, Murray

You are going to run into several issues. The Cub mower uses a PTO that turns faster and runs backwards. The PTO shaft is different sized. As with most anything you can make it work with a torch and welder but it doesn't mean you should.

If your talking about a sickle bar mower PTO direction will not be a problem.
You will probably have to make some modifications to make it fit but if your any good it should not be all that hard to do

You might try selling the mower on CL. Cub items can be spendy. If you want to cut hay, a mower for the A can be too, depending on location. If you just want to mow grass, you can bolt a fully-supported finish mower to the drawbar on the A. They are generally cheaper and easier to find than belly mowers for an A.

Hi, yes you are correct. Chances of mowing is pretty slim. Inquiring as to would this fit on the tractor and if anyone had attempted to install or even were they made the same. Thanks for all the advice. Cheers, Murra

I have a 59 for an 8N and a Farmall A. They spin opposite but I switched them anyway. Crossed the belt so it works.
