There are two small master cylinders mounted in front of the brake pedals. They are no longer made. I am looking for a good substitute. Maybe an auto master cylinder from the 60's? I could tip them some for clearance and drill new mounting holes.

Many motorcycles,ATVs and UTVs use a very small master cylinder.Might be worth your while to check them out.I have no idea as to price,I never had to buy one but I've seen a few.

Have you considered sleeving them ? You clean up and reuse your internal parts , and replace the rubber parts. I had a Jeep cyl done for $100 years ago ...

Are these the kits??

Like has been said, get yours re sleeved.

Is there a casting number on the cylinder? There are ways to look up and cross reference the number. If there is an old school auto supply near by they might be able to locate them.

Does this fit inside what you are showing in the picture?

Your link appears to show a whole master cylinder for as later tractor that takes a separate fluid reservoir.
The original cylinder were problematic plus I only have one original cylinder.

I understand. Early has 2 master cylinder and 2 reservoir. Late has 2 cylinders in 1 common reservoir. I will do a bit of checking and see if I can find out anything helpful Check this post in 2-3 days and I might have something. No guarantees.
Do you know the bore size for piston?

I have a part number that I am unsure if its for the master cylinder or its rebuild kit.....231 5405

I don't have much but your # seems to be for whole cylinder.
Look at this

If you search for Hauptbremszylinder 231 5405
you will find cylinder but I could not find a photo. I think MFG wis ATE and they are easier to find. ATE # is at website above.
Bore size seems to be 15.87 mm . If you go with hot rod cylinder in would stay close to that bore size.
Farm show magazine has a article in 1987 where a guy put gleaner master cylinders on 10006. His was later brakes I think so may not apply.
